Ivy's Growing Like a "Weed"
Anyone else notice the 1lb 9oz growth in a 2-week span? Yea...so did I. Dr. said they expect babies to gain 1/2 lb a week at that age - she gained 1lb 9oz in 2 weeks. Yikes! In that 2nd week leading up to her 2-week check-up she was insatiable! She was constantly nursing, there were times where I only had enough time to shove some lunch in my mouth and go to the bathroom before she'd be crying to eat again. What happened to the "she'll eat every 2hrs"? No, this was more like every 20min. If I had a nanny to take care of the other 2, a maid to clean up after us and a chef to make all of our meals, this would not have been a problem. But alas, it's just me (with Tim here half the time) so there were some traumatic times of having to let Ivy scream for a couple minutes so I could put lunch out for Addison and Eden or getting a sore back with twisting and turning all sorts of crazy ways so I could clean, tend to the girls, etc while cradling Ivy in the other arm.
So once I saw the weight gain, I breathed a sigh of relief that those crazy days were a growth spurt. Those moments still occur several times a day, but it's not constant as it was that week. So we'll enjoy it for now and brace ourselves for the next growth spurt!

Ivy is Not a Minion!
Overall, Ivy is a very good and content baby. She wakes 3x a night to eat for about 10min. She doesn't scream or anything, perhaps credit to me being a light sleeper, I wake as soon as I hear her squirming.
She does like to be held often though and we haven't had much success entertaining her in the swings or bouncy chair. We put her down in the rock n' sleeper the most often cuz it is the easiest place to put her once she is asleep. But she usually doesn't last long in there once she is awake.
Generally her cries are short lived. She either needs to be burped or change and most often her cries are to be fed. Especially at night, she wants to cluster feed so while I'm getting ready for bed, Tim is just stuck rocking a crying baby. At that time of the night there is nothing he can do to soothe her. Addison and Eden were both like that at night so I'm definitely used to "Nighttime is Mommy time" as part of my routine. And once I go back to work, I will cherish that time with Ivy to just sit down and relax with her. Of course if it were up to me, I'd feel the need to bustle around and do housework, etc. so it's nice that I am "forced" to slow down and cuddle with my little girl.

At Home With Three Girls
We were thrown directly into the fire upon the arrival of Ivy. Not only were we now crossing over into the world of being outnumbered by our children (which we were warned for months is a whole new ball game from other parents of 3+ children), but Addison AND Eden were both sick with the worst colds they have ever had (including Addison's first ear infection). Our normally quiet, happy and relatively tantrum-free Eden turned into a crying/screaming beast!
So I actually had the easier time being the one recovering in the hospital, leaving Tim at home to tend to our 2 sick girls. I think I got more sleep with a newborn in the hospital (which isn't much) than he did at home!
Even the day I came home from the hospital was hectic as Tim had an interview for a holiday/temp job to do and several errands. I said (hopefully) that it would only get easier from there. With 2 sick kids, a recovering mommy and a newborn, that entire week was a blur. There was a moment one night where Eden couldn't sleep, so Tim was holding her on the couch as coughed and screamed while I was holding a screaming Ivy - we both looked at each other with looks of "uh-oh, what have we done?" That was probably the most overwhelmed I felt as a parent, but I also have more trust and faith in us that we know what we're doing than with Addison. Of course I was overwhelmed as a new mother, but I could focus only on her. But as a new mother I also second-guessed myself more and worried that I wasn't doing the things I thought I'd be doing or the way I'd be doing it when I read all the parenting books and articles while pregnant.  Now, we know what works for us as parents and what has worked for our children so far. More importantly, we know what our children have survived to know that certain shortcomings and not being a picture perfect parent will not harm our girls (at least not in the long run!)

The End is Near
I return to work in just over 2 weeks (Jan 6th). There are many routines to figure out and schedules to establish before then. What is best for us as parents is that I know exactly what Tim will be going through at home with 3 girls when I return to work. I am fortunate to have a good work-life balance at my company so I hope I can have a modified work-from-home and office schedule to be here for feedings as much as I can. It will be an adjustment for sure, but Ivy is already getting herself onto some type of schedule so I can have a consistent wake up time in the morning, and Tim will be able to plan the bottle feedings throughout the day accordingly.
I will be so sad to return to work, but I am so thankful that we have been able to make it work for Tim to stay at home, so I know my girls are in the best care possible while I'm missing them at work!

The Arrival of Ivy

The First Contractions
On Sunday, November 9th, contractions began in the afternoon and lasted th entire day and into the night. They were stronger than the Braxton Hicks contractions I had been feeling for weeks, but they were still inconsistent in timing and length. So I knew I wasn't in real labor, but it was certainly a warning sign.
Early Monday morning, around 3am I woke up in discomfort. I laid in bed and watched the clock to see how often the contractions were coming. By 4am, they had been fairly strong and about 6-8min apart. Since I couldn't fall back asleep, I went downstairs to lay on the couch, watch TV and time the contractions. By 6am they were pretty consisten 5-7min apart. I was thisclose to calling my mom to head down by us (to watch the girls). I went upstairs and woke Tim up to let him know my status and took a shower. But low and behold the contractions mellowed and I didn't have one for 20min and some were weaker.
I was supposed to go downtown for a team meeting all day, but I decided to play it safe. Even if I wasn't in true labor, I definitely was not feeling physically up for tooling around downtown and being in a business meeting as I was still having contractions relatively frequently. So I set myself up on the couch and worked for the day. Contractions continued and around 3pm I went for a long walk. I didn't have contractions for most of the walk, but when I got back is when I believe that real labor began. The contractions were stronger and about every 6-8min and continued like that for the night. We decided to call my mom around 5pm, just to be safe in case it continued and we ended up heading to the hospital in the middle of the night. Having my mom come down and sleep over was going to be much easier logistically than dropping the girls off at my brother's house in the middle of the night.

The Middle of the Night
We went to bed around 10pm. I had been having some painful contractions but knew it wasn't quite time yet. I wanted to try to sleep for a couple hours and see what happened. Well, shortly after midnight I couldn't sleep through the pain anymore. I laid awake for a bit, but then decided to take a hot shower. I continued timing the contractions and they were about 5min apart or less. I woke Tim up and told him to take his time, but that it was time to go to the hospital.
We headed to the hospital around 1:30am, calling the doctor on the way. I was able to walk from the car to the hospital at which point I knew I was going to be in a wheelchair and then a bed the rest of the time.

We're Ready!
I was about 5-6cm when we got the hospital. With Addison and Eden I was at 7cm and in much more pain, so this was nice to have some time to settle in and try to take it easy. For the first hour we were there I was only in pain when I had contractions, the nurse was so impressed because I didn't seem like I was in pain at all, but I told her eventually I would be showing it.
I opted to go drug-free again, as I did for Eden and very happy I was able to do it! The pain got worse and I knew I was getting closer, but it wasn't until I was about 9cm that they broke my water manually and then it really kicked in.
I felt the urge to push so we went for it. Minion wasn't coming on her own, whereas I think Eden came out on her own because it was so quick. So Minion required more pushing. I also was much more tired with Minion than with Eden, since that labor didn't start until the afternoon and I had a full night sleep the day before and much quicker labor. So when the pushing started, I realized how truly tired I was! So it took a few tries for the muscle memory to kick in on how to do this. Then, I finally started having good progress. After about 20min of pushing, Minion was born.

She's Here!
It was my hardest delivery being that she was my biggest and she was face up. Knowing it would be my last was what motivated me in the last few pushes. We told the nurse we thought we were having a girl, so in those last few pushes, the nurse was "cheering" me on by saying "She's almost here!" So the fact that it was a SHE made that a pretty cool experience. Like we knew without having to know :)

Ivy Maureen O'Neill
Our last little girl was born on November 11, 2014 @ 4:57am. She weighed 8lbs. 3oz. and 20".
The date is significant, other than being the cool "11/11 make a wish" date, it is also the date of my parents' wedding anniversary! It would have been 47 years!
Another, more minor, significance is I won the Baby Minion Pool! There were 7 other guesses on 11/11, mostly Girl - but I won due to only being 1oz off from Ivy's actual birth weight!
Instantly we thought she looked more like Addison, which I think is still true, although she may have Eden's nose. We lucked out again with another beautiful, healthy, sweet little girl as we complete our family. Big sisters Addison & Eden were so thrilled when they met their little sister later that morning.

The Final Month

The last month of the Baby Minion pregnancy certainly felt like the 9th month. The last couple weeks the "you're gonna pop soon" started coming and there were days where I was quite worn down after not doing much at all.
Also, the annoyances of being pregnant wore on me as well. Normally I can shrug them off, but I had a day in week 38 where I was over it. I wasn't ready to actually have the baby and leave work and have everything set up at home, I just didn't want to be pregnant anymore.
Heartburn
Knowing that heartburn goes away after birth was one of the glimmers of hope I had towards the end. The heartburn was unrelenting. I was up to 2 Pepcid A/C's a day and several TUMS. I slept sitting completely upright and nothing I could do helped. Even avoiding certain foods made no difference. Heartburn appeared every afternoon no matter what.
Soreness
My body was sore, especially in the hip joints. There was no back pain really other than if I sat for too long, my tail bone would hurt.
Swelling
My ankles were comically swollen - so much so that I could no longer wear most of my shoes. Even keeping my legs elevated at work and at home didn't seem to make a difference. My feet were basically big pillows!
My hands were swollen too. Not as noticeably as my feet, but I couldn't wear my wedding rings in the last month. The Dr did have me take a 24hr urine test to screen for preeclampsia. Thankfully I tested negative for that, but that test was quite the pain in the you know what!

Names
The baby name conversation first began back in June when we made our "long list" of any name we could even come up with. The "long list" was not very long at all and only a handful of new ones were added. By this 3rd baby, we had gone through so many names so many times - so many names we've already shot down because we've found something wrong with it. Even the names that were our runners up with the other 2 had just lost their luster even though we still did like them.
We sat around and tried to come up with more names a couple other times but then decided it's just easier to work with the short list of names we got. We were able to settle on the boy name pretty quickly this time - sticking with the same name we would have used on a boy Baby Punkin. So that was settled in September.
We weren't ready to make the call on the girl name. We got it down to 3 names and then just let them sit for a couple weeks. After a couple weeks, though we still made no progress. Each of the 3 girl names were a different "category" to us: cutesy, common/plain and trendy. I tried to pressure - even telling Tim he just needs to pick it because Addison & Eden were names I came up with. But he couldn't decide either. I knew that if we weren't settled on a name by November, then Minion would definitely end up being a girl! So we just kept thinking about it.
I was about settled on the "common/plain" name when Tim said he was liking the "trendy" name more and more. So I thought and thought and in the end, that "trendy" name grew on me more and more too. So finally at the end of October, we settled on our girl name. It was stressful to push it so last minute like that!

Dr.'s Appointments
The entire family came along to the 35 week ultrasound as our last chance to see Minion before the big delivery date. We got to see him/her pretty well and a good shot of his/her profile. I did think I saw *something but in all honesty I really have no idea what I'm looking at unless the tech is telling me. However, this was the first ultrasound where the tech told us to turn away!
Minion measured just under 6lbs which is just under 50th percentile.
At 36 weeks I had my first internal exam but there was no progress. At 37 weeks I was just under 1cm which of course is really nothing. But week 38 I was dilated 2cm and 60% effaced and was the same way at week 39.

Date Night
Addison and Eden had a sleepover at Grandma G's Halloween weekend so Tim and I took advantage and went on a "last night of freedom"/Anniversary date. Nothing fancy - just Panera and to see "Gone Girl". While Addison and Eden may have sleepovers again this winter, we will still have the baby with us every night for several months if not a year!

So I think we're ready. This is the 3rd time around, so we know what we're doing. I also approached this pregnancy very patiently because I know how crazy the waiting can make me at the end. But now that the end is near, I keep thinking of all the things we do have to do and now feel all behind. Of course! So hopefully the baby doesn't come too early!

Week #33

Check-Up
Last week was my 32-week checkup. A short and sweet appointment with some good news. Not only had I passed the 3hr glucose screening test but the thyroid screening from my 28-week appt came back all normal across the board finally so I didn't have to get blood drawn again. Hooray!
Everything else checked out well. My heart rate is perfect, and belly is measuring normal (although it certainly feels like I'm way larger than average!). And lastly, Minion's heart rate clocked in the 120's. That's one of the differences from the girls, they both had heart rates right around 140.

Getting to Go Time
Being the 3rd time, we know how long 40 weeks really is. So we knew not to get too crazy planning and preparing too early on. But now that we've got 7 weeks left, it's "go time." We are nearly settled on names - we have the boy name set but  are still going back and forth between 3 girl names.
We're gradually clearing out the sitting area of our bedroom to begin setting up the Minion nursery. We'll wait until after the holidays to move the girls into the same room, but we've been browsing online for loft beds for the girls.
In another few weeks, or whenever the nesting instinct kicks in, we'll begin hauling up all the baby equipment and cleaning/setting it up. And then of course, my favorite part, unpacking the baby clothes into the drawers.

We have a very busy October ahead of us so I don't think we'll experience the long drawn out waiting like we did for Addison (when I was unemployed) or Eden (when it was boring time of year - late Feb/early March). Before we know it we'll have a little Minion!

Week #30

Needles!
For those of you who know me well, you know that needles are one of my phobias. Shots I can tolerate, but having blood drawn is a nightmare for me. I often get lightheaded, clammy and just generally can't stop thinking about it afterwards.
Well, this pregnancy has certainly made me confront this phobia time and time again. All pregnancies involve a lot of blood work at the start, but for me in this pregnancy it has been excessive.
Starting in Week 14, I had high TPH levels in my thyroid, and while the rest of the screening came out fine, the doctors have wanted to continue monitoring it. So that has meant a blood test at nearly every check-up thus far.
Then, of course there's the 28 week glucose screening which involved a finger prick, along with a thyroid blood test, so that was no fun - but it was nothing compared to what happened next... I failed the glucose screening!
What that meant is a week later I had to go in for a 3hr test, involving blood being drawn once an hour for 3hrs, so 3 blood draws total. This was all on an empty stomach of course. I survived and, more importantly, passed the test but it was certainly a morning I won't forget!

Kicks and Pokes
I am really feeling Minion moving around these days. S/he wakes me up around 4:30am every morning with a whole lotta kicking and jabbing and wiggling. Baby Minion is active when I lay down for the night too and does NOT like it when I lay on my side in the fetal position to sleep. Apparently I am cramping his/her style!
While meat/burgers is still my craving, whenever I have something sweet it really wakes Minion up and s/he dances around all over the place in there!
Tim, Addison and Eden have all felt and seen Minion's kicks. Although I'm sure Eden doesn't really understand what's going on in there. But she does know that my belly is where Baby Minion is! And Minion often kicks her when she sits on my lap at bedtime to read stories.

The due date is starting to feel closer now. I am preparing for my maternity leave at work with hopefully bringing in a temp to train before I go out. And we're slowly clearing space for the "nursery" in the sitting area of our bedroom. We have a busy fall coming up so that will be good to keep us distracted as we wait!

Week #27 Update

We've been very patient this whole pregnancy, because we've learned from experience how long 40 weeks can really be. So I'm still pretty far out - 3 months away. When I tell people my due date, I get the "oh you've got awhile" response. I think also in summer, saying something is in November seems so far away. But I think in a few weeks we'll be in "pretty soon" mode.

Room & Board
We don't have as much to prepare this time. With Addison of course we needed everything and showers, etc and had to move stuff out of our spare room to paint and make it a nursery and get rid of other things around the condo to make room.
With Eden it was moving Addison out of the nursery and into the spare room - so it was more preparing for her than for Eden!
This time, we will be moving Addison and Eden together to share a room, with a loft bed for Addison and moving Eden out of the crib/toddler bed into a full size bed. But we decided since baby usually spends most of the first couple months in our room at night, we would morph our room's open "sitting" space into a nursery for Minion in the first few months, buying us more time to cram the girls together into what is now Eden's room and make Addison's room the nursery.
So we still have as much if not more set up work to do this time, but we can do it gradually with no set date in mind.

Names
Not like we're going to be telling anyone the names ahead of time, but I can say we are very close. For the last couple weeks, we've been settling on one boy name and one girl name. Now, some name may come out of nowhere and make the list, but as it stands right now our "list" which started at most around 6-7 names/ ea only - is now down to 3 names in each gender, of which only one each is really standing out to us.
So we'll see, 3 months is still a long time so things can change, and while we have never wanted to make a name decision in the hospital - we've held off until 6weeks before usually to settle on the name.

Next up...
Next week is the glucose screening so I get to drink the flat orange soda and sit at the doctor's office for 2 hours, weee : /
I've passed the test no problem the other 2x so I'm hoping to go 3 for 3!

Week #25

Week 24 Doctor's Appointment
Quick and easy check-up this time. Minion's heart rate is 152, so that could mean a girl (above 140). Silly Baby and Baby Punkin were around 140.
I had to get ANOTHER blood test (not.a.fan) to monitor my thyroid. Whatever medical jargon I don't understand - but what I get from is my brain is sending signals of a hyperactive thyroid, but my thyroid glands are not listening. So in the end I'm fine but they just want to keep monitoring it which means more blood tests which is basically the worst thing ever for me.

In other news...
Heartburn is still here but still very manageable. Some days it doesn't even hit until I lay down at night, so taking Pepcid is just part of my getting ready for bed routine. If I get it throughout the day, I can usually chew some gum to make it go away or at least not as bad.
So right now I'd say the heartburn is easier in this pregnancy than the others, but I do still have a long way to go and I may just be remembering how terrible it was later on in the other pregnancies. So we'll see!
I don't really have any other ailments. No sciatica like I had with Eden. I get some leg cramps in my calves when I wake up in the morning, but nothing bad at all.
I'm getting the unsolicited comments around the workplace that I've "really popped!" But yet, there are some people who come up to me having just heard the news that I'm expecting. So I couldn't be that obvious if people are still just realizing I'm pregnant. Also depends on the shirt. On Thursday I was wearing a large shirt that I think made me look extra big and that's when I got the "you've really popped" comments. The very next day I wore a flowy shirt that wasn't as wide and almost appeared to conceal my bump - and on that day, I got comments that you could barely tell I was pregnant at all.
As this pregnancy goes on and I grow, I'm carrying higher than I was with Eden, and probably the same carriage as Addison. So, again, the gender guessing is all over the place! Although everyone keeps telling me they think I'm having a boy, but that's probably just what they think I'm hoping to have.
For the record - Tim & I think it's a girl :)

Week #23

Belly Pop!
So, wow...I started showing around Week 16 -to me that is, and was pretty much in maternity clothes full time at Week 17. I was steadily growing, and if I wore a fitted shirt, around Week 20 people could definitely tell.
Then around Week 22 I really popped. Here I am sitting in Week 23 and I. am. big. Seriously, I think I look like I'm 7mos pregnant already! I've gained 12lbs which is totally in the normal range, but I'm afraid to see how big this baby bump gets come October/November.

Movin' Minion
Minion has been moving pretty consistently over the last few weeks. Minion really rocks out after I eat cookies or candy and when I lay down at night. Sometimes it's uncomfortable to bend over because Minion wiggles all over. In my memory, Silly Baby was always the most active of the 3, but that could also be because she was the first, so those movements were very new to me.

Magma
The liquid hot magma (aka heartburn) is back as usual. I'm on a good regime of gum on my drive home from work and Pepcid A/C before bedtime. There's been a few rough nights trying to fall asleep but for the most part I can keep it under control. I've started sleeping propped up on my big reading pillow in bed this past week, which can help a lot.

I have my 24-week check-up next week, so I will check back in with measurements and an update soon!

Over the "bump"

Into the 2nd Half
I'm now more than halfway through the pregnancy, but it doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment. The first 5 weeks I didn't know, then it was a secret for so long,  and for most of the first trimester I didn't even feel pregnant. There would be times I would even forget for a split second. Other than not having a period for awhile, the were no feelings of being pregnant.

20 Week Ultrasound
Last week was our big 20 week ultrasound! Again we did not find out the gender,  but it's still a fun appointment to see Minion for so long. We made it a family event and bright the kids along, which I think was really great for Eden especially.  After the appointment she was so mesmerized by the sonogram and kept saying "hi,  baby". It was good for Addison too to get her excited.  Of course she totally gets it,  but I think since we didn't talk about it with others for so long and I wasn't showing until recent weeks,  she wasn't that invested.  Now she talks to and about Minion all the time.
The ultrasound was good.  Minion is measuring average,  with a heart rate around 140. We couldn't see the face until the very end,  since Minion was being difficult with head down and faced away.  But we got a couple good pictures at the end.  So far the consensus is Minion looks like Eden (me) with Tim's head.
No info either way on girl or boy.  Tim and I are both guessing girl,  I think because it just seems like why wouldn't we have another girl?

4 long months to go till we find out!!

Nearing halfway!

19 Weeks!
We knew so early on with this baby, that we got very used to the "no one knows" mentality. But now that we're getting used to the "everyone knows" reality - it's like BOOM! I'm really far along already!
I still hesitate when people at work or relatives ask me how I'm feeling. It takes me a minute to realize they are asking about the baby. So it catches me off guard because it's not a common question to ask in a general friendly greeting like "how are you?"
Next week is the big 20 week mark and ultrasound where we will find out....nothing! :)

Showing & Growing
I'd say I "popped" 2 weeks ago. I moved mostly into maternity wear the 16th week, so by 17th week was when I started getting the double takes at work of people noticing the bump. I can still hide it when I wear some of my loose/flowing regular shirts, but for the most part - if you know I'm pregnant you can tell. It's not obvious to the world yet. Although, today I wore a fitted maternity shirt and I bet people who didn't know wondered if I was!
I think I'm doing good with eating, I'm not indulging too often. Gotta save those binges for the last couple months. I eat well most of the time.
My only cravings have really been meat (I could eat a burger every night!), cheese and sometimes really salty chips. So far I like/crave sweets less this time around than the other pregnancies. When I do want dessert, it's gotta be the real stuff. I don't just want a chips ahoy cookie. It's gotta be ice cream or fudge or something real good.

Movin' Minion
I've been feeling Minion move for a couple weeks now -- looking back at Silly Baby and Baby Punkin it was around 17 weeks too. So very consistent there! Even though this is the 3rd time around, those first few kicks felt pretty crazy!

Secret, secret

The Long Silence
Since we found out before 5 weeks, and it is our comfort zone to not share the news until the end of the 1st trimester, we were up for over 2 months of secrecy. Nowadays, that's pretty easy because we rarely go out and I rarely drink anyway, so no one was "on to us."
I was also fortunate to not be very nauseous or lethargic, so I could very easily continue life as usual. The only tell tale sign I led on (but I found out later no one at work noticed!) is cutting out my 2 cups of morning coffee - and sometimes another cup at 2pm -  at the office.
I had been doing Slim Fast for lunch for a couple months, and intended to keep on it, but that could only last a couple weeks. I was so hungry!! So my snacking at work was up as well as I actually *gasp* went out to lunch a few times.
As of 14 weeks I haven't gained any weight, although my belly is getting thicker, but all in all I was able to hide it for 2 months pretty well.

The Announcing
We told our families over Easter weekend since we were going to see them all in a matter of a few days. Next we gradually told friends and extended family over the next couple weeks, and finally at Week 14 I told my boss and coworkers. It was a secret for so long it was actually weird to tell people. I'd think it would be a relief to not hide anymore, but now I feel awkward because I know I will now start getting the "pregnancy attention." And of course, then it makes the whole thing real - eek!

We're trying not to get ahead of ourselves with too much planning, speculating or name picking b/c we know this is a long 6 months. So in this time before it really feels "real", we're just cruising along like nothing's changed...because we know in a matter of months it all will be very real!

Taking it Easy
Some people tell at least their close family and friends about their pregnancies within days of finding out, as early as 6 weeks pregnant. To each their own of course, but for me I guess it was a superstition that if I told too soon, something might go wrong. Even after 2 safe and "easy" pregnancies, I didn't want to jinx anything. So we kept our quiet until Week 11, a tad earlier than 2nd trimester, but it was Easter weekend and we were seeing our families.
Well, go figure the night we break the news, I experienced spotting. No cramps and all else was fine, but of course that was my first thought that we announced too soon! I had a Dr's appt a few days later and all checked out fine except some blood in my uterus. There's some term for it that I can't remember but it's no big issue other than keeping an eye on it.
But with that diagnosis I was on doctor's order to not exercise, run, lift anything heavy - and generally take it easy.
Now of course that sounds all great and wonderful, but I was really bummed. Since I'd been feeling pretty good I wanted to continue my workout regime, and the weather was finally improving so I was looking forward to running for at least a little while until my belly got too big!
So, that was a long month. But after those weeks of no issues, the Dr gave me full clearance again - so yay!  I only have a few weeks of running in me before the belly gets annoying, but at least it's something. I'm going to need all the help I can get post-baby to get back in shape, so the more I can do whilst pregnant, the better!

Surprise!

Here We Go Again
We've been in "maybe/maybe not" mode for another baby for the past several months. We would talk about it once in awhile, always undecided. I had always wanted 3 children, that was my ideal - but having 2 was starting to feel pretty complete as well. Plus, as usual with having a baby, didn't seem like there would be a good time to do it. But, the one decision I knew, is that by the time I turned 35 (summer 2015) if we weren't in the works for another baby, we would make it official that we were done.
Well, life has different ideas as we all know, and in early March, I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd child. I was not as shocked as with Addison, but not as "ah, it happened!" as I was with Eden. I was somewhere in between. Our indecision had been decided. We're pros at this now, so as soon as we found out, we went into planning mode of what this will mean and how we'll make it work.

Now For the Details
I am due November 13, 2014. Based on my cycle (which is apparently ALL out of whack!), at first I was due November 1. After my first Dr's appointment, only the fetal sac was visible, so it was apparent that I was not that far along (I thought I was 7 weeks, turned out I was less than 5). So at that point they gave me a due date of November 11. Then after then next ultrasound, they decided it was more like November 13. Whew. So, yes, you've read that right, I've already had 3 ultrasounds by the time I was only 8 weeks pregnant!
