Week #23
So, wow...I started showing around Week 16 -to me that is, and was pretty much in maternity clothes full time at Week 17. I was steadily growing, and if I wore a fitted shirt, around Week 20 people could definitely tell.
Then around Week 22 I really popped. Here I am sitting in Week 23 and I. am. big. Seriously, I think I look like I'm 7mos pregnant already! I've gained 12lbs which is totally in the normal range, but I'm afraid to see how big this baby bump gets come October/November.
Movin' Minion
Minion has been moving pretty consistently over the last few weeks. Minion really rocks out after I eat cookies or candy and when I lay down at night. Sometimes it's uncomfortable to bend over because Minion wiggles all over. In my memory, Silly Baby was always the most active of the 3, but that could also be because she was the first, so those movements were very new to me.
Magma
The liquid hot magma (aka heartburn) is back as usual. I'm on a good regime of gum on my drive home from work and Pepcid A/C before bedtime. There's been a few rough nights trying to fall asleep but for the most part I can keep it under control. I've started sleeping propped up on my big reading pillow in bed this past week, which can help a lot.
I have my 24-week check-up next week, so I will check back in with measurements and an update soon!

Over the "bump"
Into the 2nd Half
I'm now more than halfway through the pregnancy, but it doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment. The first 5 weeks I didn't know, then it was a secret for so long, and for most of the first trimester I didn't even feel pregnant. There would be times I would even forget for a split second. Other than not having a period for awhile, the were no feelings of being pregnant.
20 Week Ultrasound
Last week was our big 20 week ultrasound! Again we did not find out the gender, but it's still a fun appointment to see Minion for so long. We made it a family event and bright the kids along, which I think was really great for Eden especially. After the appointment she was so mesmerized by the sonogram and kept saying "hi, baby". It was good for Addison too to get her excited. Of course she totally gets it, but I think since we didn't talk about it with others for so long and I wasn't showing until recent weeks, she wasn't that invested. Now she talks to and about Minion all the time.
The ultrasound was good. Minion is measuring average, with a heart rate around 140. We couldn't see the face until the very end, since Minion was being difficult with head down and faced away. But we got a couple good pictures at the end. So far the consensus is Minion looks like Eden (me) with Tim's head.
No info either way on girl or boy. Tim and I are both guessing girl, I think because it just seems like why wouldn't we have another girl?
4 long months to go till we find out!!
